self-soothing checklist… for when you need an extra hand
Remember to only take the suggestions that you feel will help you—if none of them resonate or call to you, feel free to skip it, tweak it, or do something else entirely. Don’t be afraid to listen to your mind and body when it comes to taking care of yourself.
Some general advice: when self-soothing, it is great to do things that you can focus your five senses on. Remember to follow your own pace and do things one at a time to avoid further overstimulation.
